“Two And A Half Men” was a hit comedy TV series that ran for twelve seasons on CBS. The show has entertained audiences for years; however, there was also a lot of drama off-camera. At the peak of the show’s popularity, Charlie Sheen, who played the character of Charlie Harper, got himself fired from the series after insulting the wrong people and was replaced by Ashton Kutcher to take over the lead role.
Soon after, Angus T. Jones, who played the character of Jake Harper, quit “Two and a Half Men” after he converted to Christianity and joined a Seventh-day Adventist church.
Jones even asked fans to stop watching the show as it contradicts his moral values. However, Jones has since apologized for that remark and even made a cameo for the final episode of “Men.”
So what is Jones doing now after the TV series ended?
Angus T. Jones went to college
Audiences practically watched Jones grow up before their eyes, and it’s nice to know that even though he already made tons of money from the show, he still wants to learn just like any other person.
According to People TV Watch, Jones enrolled at the University of Colorado and he was very excited about it. He shared his college experience and stated that “I wasn’t the center of everyone’s attention, and that was nice.” Jones is looking to earn a degree in environmental studies but has taken a break from college since last year to spend more time with his brother, Otto.
Louis C.K. gave Jones a small role in his show
Actor-comedian Louis C.K. created a web series called “Horace and Pete” and was able to put together a star-studded cast that includes Steve Buscemi, Edie Falco, and Jessica Lange, just to name a few. C.K. also chose Jones to play a small part in his web series for a very specific reason.
C.K. said that he was intrigued by Jones for being able to walk away from the number one show on TV just because the show portrays things against his moral values. Jones only appeared in one scene and had a few lines in the tenth episode of “Horace and Pete.”
Angus T. Jones’ other venture
While fans won’t be seeing very much of Jones on-screen, he is, however, doing his business off-screen.
According to Billboard, Jones collaborated with Justin Combs and Kenechukwu Orjioke to form a multimedia and event production company called Tonite in 2015. Jones’ role focuses on hiring the right people to fit in the company.
It’s good to know that Jones has not left Hollywood for good, which is good news for his loyal fans.
