It was in September 2015 when Apple released the forerunner of Ipad Pro 2. Several analysts and tech observers are looking forward to another set of iPad Pro to be released. However, recently, Mac Rumors reported that they received information of the company launching the latest iteration of several of its products on March 20 or March 24.
The informer, who wished for his identity to be kept unknown, is part of a reputable supply chain. The tipster claimed that his information came from within its own sources. Although, according to the report it was not specifically pointed out as to which Apple products will be unveiled, speculation suggests that it will include the latest iteration of the iPad Pro.
Three new models
In the earlier part of 2017, there was speculation that Apple would introduce three new iPad Pro 2 models, including the 10.5-inch model, the 9.7-inch model, and the 12.9-inch model. Several analysts also pointed to these three new models, including KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Japanese blogger Mac Otakara, and Barclays analyst Blayne Curtis. Otakara, however, noted that there will be a 7.9-inch model to displace the iPad mini 4.
According to several claims, the 10.5-inch model will feature an almost bezel-less design. In other words, even with a larger screen, it will have a similar footprint as that of the 9.7-inch model. In addition, it is also anticipated to have a virtual home button and will be powered by an A10X processor.
Meanwhile, the 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models will receive an upgrade, which will most likely include improvements within the device. The devices are anticipated to have enhanced graphics performance and improved speed since it will now run on an A10X processor.
The 9.7-inch model will have a 12MP rear camera, and 5MP front camera with Retina flash.
On the other hand, the 12.9-inch model will sport an 8MP rear camera and 1.2MP front camera with Retina flash.
Apple Event
In February 2017, Mac Otakara claimed that Apple will have a March event where several Apple products will be unveiled. It will include the debuts of the latest Apple Watch bands, an iPhone SE with 128GB storage, and the latest iterations of iPad Pro.
It is worth noting that in the past, the Cupertino-based tech giant hosted several March events. In 2011 and 2013, at the Yerba Buena Center for Arts, the company revealed the latest iPad models. In 2015, the Apple Watch prices and release date details were announced. Moreover, in March 2016, the company launched the 9.7-inch iPad Pro.
