Two of the best quarterbacks in the Big Ten this year might both be headed to the NFL after the season. A new report circulated the web on Friday that claimed both Shea Patterson and Dwayne Haskins could be heading to the pros early. The two junior quarterbacks are both having very good seasons and it appears both are looking to get out while the getting is good. Matt Miller of Bleacher Report claims that insiders are telling him that both quarterbacks think their NFL stock has never been higher. They also believe their stock will be quite a bit lower if they have to compete with Junior quarterbacks to be like Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa and Georgia's Jake Fromm.

Shea Patterson could leave after leading Michigan to a championship

Most Big Ten fans know the story of Michigan's Patterson. He left Ole Miss after the coach who brought him there was fired for numerous violations. When he first arrived on the Wolverines, he was billed as the guy who was going to take the program to the next level. While he got off to a rather bumpy start, he has been having a very good season. The Wolverines are having one heck of a season. Not only do they look like they might be the best team in the Big Ten, but they also look like they could be the best team in the country, or at least compete for that title. Through 10 games Shea Patterson has thrown for 1,900 yards while throwing for 17 touchdowns to just three touchdowns.

While Patterson is putting up big numbers, he's got a very highly touted quarterback behind him this year. Unlike Shea, Dylan McCaffrey can throw the ball and he can run like the wind. It's possible Jim Harbaugh is going to be looking for a QB that can throw and run. If the report can be believed, it appears he doesn't want to test that theory.

Dwayne Haskins would be hard pressed to have a better season

While Shea Patterson is having a respectable season he's not putting up eye-popping numbers. The same can not be said for Ohio State's starting QB. Haskins is having a rather insane season. He's completed 68.9 percent of his passes for 3,280 yards. If that wasn't impressive enough, he's thrown 33 touchdown passes and six interceptions.

While he's only a sophomore this year, it seems like it would pretty hard for him to have a season that could go much better. There is also the aspect that he is also not remotely mobile. Urban Meyer has always loved having a mobile quarterback. It's possible that Haskins is seeing the writing on the wall and wants to head off to the NFL.
