NBA offseason has greatly settled down after a hectic start with all-star players switching teams, new rules, and a new schedule. With the training camps around the corner, NBA teams are trying to finalize their roster, and NBA players are beginning to shift to lock-in mindset after getting a much-deserved rest. Here are few updates of the NBA free agency scene:

Minnesota wants to keep Shabazz Muhammad

The Minnesota Timberwolves have had a great offseason so far after acquiring current and former NBA all-star in Jimmy Butler and Jeff Teague but still keeping Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns this offseason.

Now they are adding finishing touches by acquiring role players that would compliment their all-star core. Darren Wolf of ESPN has reported that the Minnesota TImberwolves are looking to re-sign Shabazz Muhammad. Shabazz has had a lackluster offseason so far with no team showing serious interest in signing him for next season. The Wolve's sees this as a big opportunity to keep him, but they can only offer him a veterans Minimum.

Muhammad was drafted by the Utah Jazz in the 2013 NBA Draft with the 14th overall pick but was directly traded to the Minnesota TImberwolves along with Gourgei Deng in exchange for the ninth pick. Muhammad has played four seasons in the NBA solely for the Minnesota Timberwolves and has career averages of 9.7 points, 0.1 blocks, 0.3 steals, 0.6 assists, and three rebounds while shooting 47.6% from the field and 32.2% from beyond the arc in 235 games and 18.5 minutes per game.

He is an unrestricted free agent this offseason and has not signed with any team at the moment.

China getting numerous NBA players next season

Earlier this month a couple of NBA players have reportedly inked a deal with Chinese teams this offseason. Among them are Ty Lawson of the Sacramento Kings and Donte Montiejunas of the New Orleans Pelicans.

Now JJ Hickson and Dominique Jones have added to that list as David Pick reported that they have signed contracts with the Jiangsu Tongxi.

JJ Hickson was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2008 NBA Draft with the 19th overall pick, he has played eight seasons in the NBA and played for Cleveland, Sacramento, Portland, Denver, and Washington.
