On Friday's episode of "The Young and the Restless" Adam Newman opened his front door and was shot by an unseen assailant. The question on everyone's mind now is who pulled the trigger? Nick asked Billy if he tried to kill his brother, but Victor Newman's oldest son has more to gain if his sibling dies than anyone else. Spoiler alerts suggested Chloe Mitchell who is scheduled to return to Genoa City soon sought revenge for Delia's death.
There is one more person who should be added to the suspect list and that is Riza Thomas. The nature of this woman's relationship with the Spider is not fully known but he may have ripped off her cash and now his gambling associate is out for revenge.
Adam causes turmoil in Genoa City
When Adam returned to Genoa City last week, there were mixed emotions among his family and friends. Sharon is recalling the deep love they once shared, Jack is glad to have his good buddy back from the dead, while Billy is being reminded that his brother in law ran down Delia and left the scene. Victoria thinks her sibling may be pulling a scam and Nick is concerned that he may lose Christian.
"The Young and the Restless" is really milking this storyline for all it is worth. Now that Victor's namesake is back in town, and has been shot there will be a lot of turmoil and finger-pointing.
Nick actually asked Billy if he pulled the trigger and spoilers have suggested that an irate Chloe returns to Genoa City to shoot the man she thought died in the explosion. Kevin is coming back to town also and he may even have been pushed to avenge Delia. Now, "Y&R" spoiler alerts suggest another suspect, the woman who was making money off of the Spider in Los Vegas. Riza Thomas was only shown briefly and her relationship with Victor's son was never fully explained. Celeb Dirty Laundry is suggesting that Ms.
Thomas followed Adam to Genoa City and put a bullet in him because he stole money from her.
Riza may have several reasons to shoot Adam
"The Young and the Restless" may have left Riza's relationship with Adam vague for a reason. They could have been business partners only or, perhaps, also been linked romantically. Ms. Thomas might be bitter that her meal ticket, as well as her lover, left her high and dry. If Adam stole money from her this only adds insult to injury. Having the gambling associate be the one who pulled the trigger would eliminate family and friends. For Kevin and Chloe to return to Genoa City only to be arrested would be unfair to the characters.
"The Young and the Restless" viewing audience may also want to consider that the most likely suspects are probably innocent and the guilty person will be someone no one ever considered.
There is a chance that even Chelsea snapped and shot her spouse. Remember she went off the deep end and stole money from her own company before leaving town with Conner. There is no way to know what frame of mind she will be in when she returns. Stay tuned to find out if Riza or someone else tried to kill Victor Adam Newman or he set it all up himself.
