Spoiler alerts for "The Young and the Restless" indicate that Summer's plan to snag Kyle is raising eyebrows. In addition to the Rosales brothers, Billy, Jack, and other residents of Genoa City are beginning to figure out what is really going on. Abby is like a dog with a bone and determined to know exactly why her cousin wants to marry her niece. Victor was blown away by his granddaughter's announcement and Nic in a state of disbelief. Should the deal Ms. Newman made with Kyle come to light, things could get out of control. Summer has asked for a wedding to take place before the surgery and spoilers tease she may want a baby to seal the deal.

Summer and Kyle shock Genoa City

For the past few months, Kyle has made it absolutely clear that he loves Lola, and wants nothing to do with Summer. This is why shock waves are moving throughout Genoa City at the announcement. Ms. Rosales is fighting for her life, but her beau is going to marry his ex. Summer wants an immediate wedding before she donates her kidney, and Celeb Dirty Laundry reveals that the marriage will be consummated and pregnancy could be the result.

Rey and Abby are suspicious of the quickie engagement, Arturo is furious, and Jack is stunned. Nic and Victor are outraged, Billy is doubtful, and only Phyllis seems supportive. Soap Dirt teases that the new "Y&R" head writer may be paving the way for Nick and Sharon to be back together, so it's possible the same may be true for Kyle and Summer's relationship.

A baby on the way would more than likely seal the deal.

The fate of the Rosales family will be key

One situation on "The Young and the Restless" that may be the most telling in the future direction of the show will be the fate of the Rosales family. They came aboard as Paul was leaving and some fans have hard feelings toward the new family.

Now that Paul is coming back, Rey's air time will naturally shrink. He has dismissed Mia, and if Sharon gets back with Nick, he will be out in the cold. He may also face charges and lose his job because he covered up the fact that his wife attacked his sister. Devon is thinking about selling Lola's business and with Kyle married to Summer, Miss Rosales has no place in Genoa City.

Mia must pay for her crime so that only leaves Arturo, but if he finds that Abby went along with Devon to crush his sister's dream, they will probably split. All of this will naturally take time, and Kyle may find, during the process, that he really does love Summer after all.
