The trial of the cover-up crew has been taking up a lot of time, so when Ashley pulls off a Victor Newman style hostile attack on her family's legacy, it will seem to come out of nowhere and cause much damage,
Kerry exits as Ashley returns
Once Mal Young was fired as the head writer for "The Young and the Restless," many fans speculated about whether or not Eileen Davidson might return to the show.
The news that Doug Davidson would reprise his role as Paul gave viewers some hope that John Abbott's daughter might make a come back as well. Trend Street reports in a video that Alice Hunter tweeted that her exit would open a door for veterans of the show to have more air time. Celeb Dirty Laundry is now stating that Ashley will indeed return to Genoa City, although they don't say if it will be long-term or a short stint.
Spoilers say that Ashley is the person that Kerry is truly working for and that she has nefarious plans for her family dynasty. Jack believes his lady love is going to help him oust Phyllis, who believes Ms. Johnson is loyal to her. Soap Dirt says Genoa City is about to be hit with the bombshell of the trial verdict and the return of a very much alive J.T.
Now in the midst of it all, the Abbott's will have their own drama equal to what the Newman's are going through.
Genoa City meltdown coming
The core families on "The Young and the Restless" for decades have been the Abbotts and the Newmans. Most times, however, they are fighting among themselves. Now there are two outside forces coming against each simultaneously.
Ashley plotting from another town and using Kerry as her accomplice, along with J.T. targeting Victor and his clan are pretty different.
