Leah Messer and Jason Jordan weren't meant to be, at least that's what the "Teen Mom 2" star recently suggested to her fans and followers on Twitter. Earlier this week, after a number of media outlets reported on Messer's rumored split from Jordan, the mother of three took to her Twitter page, where she shared a couple of very telling statements with her online audience.

"Some things are meant to happen, just not meant to be," Messer tweeted. She also added, "Some things are meant to come into your life, just not meant to stay." The tweets were shared to Messer's official Twitter page shortly after her breakup was reported.

However, when it came to an official confirmation, Messer gave none on Twitter or Instagram.

Leah Messer gushed over Jason Jordan just before their alleged split

Speaking of her 40-year-old boyfriend during an interview with Us Weekly magazine just two weeks ago, the 26-year-old reality star applauded Jordan for being much more mature than the men she's been with in the past. As "Teen Mom 2" fans well know, Messer has been married twice and linked to a number of men in the years since splitting from her most recent spouse, Jeremy Calvert.

According to Leah Messer, Jason Jordan was likely more mature than her past loves because he is a father. “It’s just a different responsibility, it’s a different life than someone that’s single," she said, adding, "He’s a good dad … he’s an all around good person.”

Also during her interview with Us Weekly magazine, Messer said she was in no hurry to get married for the third time and was taking things slow with Jordan after eight months of dating.

"I just want to enjoy the time now," she explained weeks ago. “The goal is just to learn [about] each other,” she added.

Leah Messer shares three kids with her ex-husbands

Messer is a mother of three after first welcoming twin girls Ali and Aleeah, now eight, with her first husband, Corey Simms, and later welcoming her third child, daughter Adalynn, now four, with her second husband, Jeremy Calvert.

Following Messer's divorce from Simms in 2011, Simms went on to marry wife Miranda in 2013 and the couple shares a young daughter, Remington. As for Calvert, he does not have any other children.

Leah Messer and her family, including her ex-husbands Corey Simms and Jeremy Calvert, are currently in production on the upcoming ninth season of "Teen Mom 2." The show will return to MTV sometime next year.
