Many fans of the "Teen Mom" franchise are confused by Bristol Palin's addition to "Teen Mom OG" but according to a recent report from Starcasm, Jenelle Evans isn't one of them. During a Q&A on Instagram earlier this week, the mother of three addressed the news of Palin's addition to the MTV cast, explaining that she simply doesn't care about who is involved with the long-running series.

When a fan questioned the reality star about the addition of Sarah Palin's daughter, Evans said, "It’s whatever." According to Evans, she isn't concerned about the cast of "Teen Mom OG" because it is "not our show." As fans well know, Evans has long been a part of the franchise's second spinoff and stars on the show with four co-stars, including Leah Messer, Kailyn Lowry, Chelsea Houska, and Briana DeJesus, who was added to the series in early 2017.

Bristol Palin joined the show in July

Bristol Palin first confirmed her addition to the show in July on Instagram. "I am excited to join MTV's 'Teen Mom OG,'" she wrote at the time. "I look forward to sharing my experiences and hope that I can help others on their journey," she further added. Bristol Palin is a mother of three, just like Jenelle Evans, and is newly single after a split from former husband Dakota Meyer earlier this year.

Palin and Meyer share two small children, including two-year-old Sailor Grace and one-year-old Atlee Bay, and Palin also shares nine-year-old Tripp with former boyfriend Levi Johnston. When Palin welcomed her first child, she was 17 years old, which certainly goes along with the theme of the show.

Jenelle Evans threatened to quit earlier this year

After MTV decided to fire her husband, David Eason, Jenelle Evans considered calling it quits with the network herself. In fact, she said she didn't want to film unless her husband was welcomed back. That said, MTV was unwilling to bring Eason back to the show after his homophobic rant on Twitter earlier this year and Evans ultimately agreed to return without him.

Since then, Evans has reportedly been filming scenes for the show without her partner and has instead been focusing her storyline on other aspects of her life, including her relationship with mother Barbara Evans.

Bristol Palin will make her debut on "Teen Mom OG" season seven on October 1 at 9PM on MTV. Joining her for her own first season on the show is Cheyenne Floyd of "Are You The One?" and "The Challenge."
