Catelynn Lowell teased "big news" on her Instagram page on August 22 and on September 13, she and her husband, Tyler Baltierra, officially confirmed she is expecting her third child during an interview with Us Weekly magazine. Just days after the couple prompted divorce rumors after butting heads in the trailer for "Teen Mom OG" season eight, Lowell and Baltierra gushed over their baby news.

“The big news is that we are expecting our rainbow baby," Lowell told the magazine in an exclusive statement. "This baby is our rainbow after the storm. I’m super excited,” she continued.

As fans will recall, Lowell became pregnant in late 2017 but suffered a miscarriage just months later. The devastating moment was discussed on "Teen Mom OG" and in the months that followed, she and Baltierra faced rumors of marital tension and a potentially impending divorce.

"It was a huge shock at first. We were not planning it, especially after the miscarriage and how I went downhill with my mental illness,” Lowell explained. In November of last year, around the time her miscarriage was reported, Lowell took to Twitter and shocked fans with a tweet about her suicidal thoughts.

She then entered into a treatment plan to improve her mental health and return to her life as usual.

“We were going to wait a really long time. We were using protection and everything and still got pregnant," the reality star continued to Us Weekly magazine. "This baby just wanted to be here," she added.

"It was very unexpected.”

After chasing adoption for their oldest daughter, nine-year-old Carly, in 2009, the "Teen Mom OG" cast members welcomed their daughter Novalee Reign in 2015. Months later, after about a decade of dating, the longtime pair tied the knot.

Although they've faced rumors of divorce in recent months, Catelynn Lowell recently shot down the possibility to Us Weekly magazine in May, insisting she and Tyler Baltierra are a "solid couple" who are prepared to tackle any hardships that life may throw at them.
