Denise Richards could be pinned against Lisa Vanderpump during production on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" season nine. While Richards has not yet been confirmed as an official cast member of the upcoming season, several clues have suggested she is definitely going to be included, and now, a report claims that she and Vanderpump could butt heads.
“They need someone to kick up the drama and will definitely pit her against some of the other ladies,” an insider told Star magazine, via Hollywood Life, on August 1. As fans well know, Vanderpump has been appearing on the Bravo TV reality show since season one and she may not take too kindly to someone new "trying to push her off her throne," as the insider explained, "and [Camille Grammer] may see Denise as a threat."
"It’s liable to get nasty!” the source continued.
“[Denise Richards] has the kind of lavish lifestyle and gorgeous looks that make her a perfect ['Real Housewife'].”
Denise Richards could be the only new cast member
Last week, after rumors first hit the web in regard to Richards' potential season nine role on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," an insider told E! News that the actress was "in the running" and "being tested" to join the show. The source also said that Richards was the only new lady believed to be in talks to join the show for its upcoming season.
"They're hoping for a casting similar to Lisa Rinna's," the source said at the time. "Someone who's already famous with an interesting [and] unusual family life," the insider added.
Denise Richards is already filming with Bravo TV
Another source spoke to E! News, saying that Richards is "being heavily considered" to appear in a season nine role, and that she had already filmed scenes with her three children, including 14-year-old Sam and 13-year-old Lola, who she shares with former husband Charlie Sheen, and her youngest child, seven-year-old Eloise, who she adopted in 2011.
As the second insider explained, producers of the Los Angeles-based series believe Richards will have a great storyline for the show and expect her to draw a large audience.
When E! News' report was shared, it was noted that Richards' contract to appear on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" would be finalized "soon." That said, Bravo TV likely won't announce the official season nine cast for at least a couple more months.
"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" season nine will air later this year on Bravo TV.
