Denise Richards just added major fuel to the ongoing rumors regarding her possible addition to "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." Although the actress has long been tied to the show due to her real-life friendships with a number of the series' stars, including Kyle Richards, recent reports have suggested that this time around, the possibility of Richards joining the Bravo TV cast is very real.

Last week, E! News told readers that the mother of three was "in the running" to join the cast of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" for the show's upcoming ninth season.

According to the report, Richards was "being tested" by Bravo TV and, at the time, the network was not looking into any additional newbies to join the show. "They're hoping for a casting similar to Lisa Rinna's," an insider said. "Someone who's already famous with an interesting [and] unusual family life," the source added.

Denise Richards' family life could be featured on 'RHOBH'

In addition to Denise Richards filming her own test scenes, E! News said the actress was also filming with her three kids, including 14-year-old Sam, 13-year-old Lola, and seven-year-old Eloise. Richards shares her two oldest children with her ex-husband, actor Charlie Sheen, and adopted her youngest daughter herself.

Richards is currently dating Aaron Phypers, the ex-husband of actress Nicolette Sheridan, but has not yet been revealed whether or not he's been testing for "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."

What is the latest clue about 'RHOBH' season nine?

Following several days of rumors, Denise Richards' friend, Rebecca Romijn, seemingly weighed in on the reports of Richards' Bravo TV addition on Twitter.

As some may have seen, Romijn posted a selfie with Richards and their partners on Thursday.

"Such an exciting day having lunch with [Denise Richards] and her hot bf [Aaron Phypers] on the day before her new endeavor (wink wink)," she tweeted. "Break legs and have fun! Xo." Although Romjin didn't say think about "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," fans immediately assumed that was what she was referring to and began commenting on the photo about Richards' potential addition to the show.

Although there is no way of knowing for sure whether or not Denise Richards will be seen during season nine, it is worth noting that production on new seasons typically begins in mid-summer. Then, premiere dates are scheduled for later in the year.
