Jeremy Vuolo, like many reality stars, recently took to social media (on July 28) to tweet a promo about the season premiere of TLC’s “Counting On.” While the tweet appears innocuous to many fans and followers, there is also a faction of fans on Reddit lending their perspective to the tweet’s meaning and claiming that the post was shading Derick Dillard.

Jeremy expressed on Twitter that both he and Jinger Duggar Vuolo, his wife, are “thankful” that they have the chance to “share” their lives with social media followers, including TLC viewers watching “Counting On.” He also cited the day, date, and time of the premiere.

Many of Jeremy’s followers could read the message and not take it the same way as many fans on Reddit. According to fans on Reddit, his tweet threw shade at Derick, who is married to Duggar daughter Jill, according to In Touch Weekly.

Reddit fan asserts Jeremy’s tweet ‘has to be shade’

Reddit user ladylovesrain shared a screenshot of Jeremy’s tweet accompanied by the question: “Some Dillard shade?” The user then answered the question, noting: “This has to be shade.” Another user (wifewithalife) asked: “Dang can you imagine those intense family dynamics?” Many users agreed with the original poster.

This is not the first time that social media users were quick to speculate about the Duggar daughters and their husbands.

When Ben Seewald, who is Jessa’s husband, shared a retweet on June 6, fans responded in a similar fashion.

Ben retweeted: “If you say you 'love thy neighbor' while really just loving the people that look like you, live like you, and think like you — it is not your neighbor that you are loving... it is yourself.” His post was interpreted by many fans as a message dissing Derick.

Family dynamics are intense

The Reddit user who intimated that the Duggar family dynamics are likely intense could be quite close to the truth.

Every family has its problems and personality conflicts. When your family is as big as the Duggar clan, clashes could expand exponentially. Both Jeremy and Derick have not escaped the microscopic view many fans have of the Duggars, their spouses, and their children.

Celebrity Insider reported on July 30 that “Jeremy Vuolu Fires Back at Fans” who reportedly claimed that he isn’t a “Manly Husband.” As fans know, his wife, Jinger, gave birth to their baby on July 19. In the days that followed, the first-time father had been attentive to his wife and baby girl (Felicity Nicole). To be criticized for helping is a bit ironic given that men are often criticized for not helping enough.

No shortage of reality stars and critics

When it comes to reality stars, there may never be a shortage. Critics have the potential to be as plentiful as the number of viewers. There is no way that Jeremy can please everyone at the same time. His priorities are where they belong.

With the events in Jeremy’s life that have happened in July, fans will have to judge whether the “Counting On” star even has time to throw shade in Derick’s direction, much less take time to post said shade on social media.
