Mishael Morgan has been portraying Hilary Curtis on “The Young and the Restless” since 2013. This character has matured and evolved and now is a fan favorite. Hilary and Devon seem poised to fall in love all over again and raise their child together. If the rumor mill is to be trusted, however, this couple may not be getting the happy ending the viewers believe they deserve. Spoiler alerts are suggesting that there is trouble in paradise and that Ms. Morgan may be about to walk away from the show that brought her notoriety. According to Soaps She Knows and Celeb Dirty Laundry, both say there is a possibility that contract negotiations for the actress were not successful.

Devon and Hilary may be history on the soap

Hilary and Devon are in one of the juiciest storylines currently on “Y&R.” Everything seems to be going their way, including Hilary becoming pregnant and Devon asking her to move in with him. If spoilers are correct and contract negotiations fell through, this would be devastating for the storyline. Soap Opera Spy says the rumor mill indicates that Mishael Morgan may have already said goodbye to Genoa City, but they also acknowledge that it is only speculation at this point.

Soaps She Knows is reporting a rumor that Devon and Hilary's relationship will end due to a tragic auto accident. It would be tragic for things to end this way after the couple just found their way back to each other.

This is, however, the world of daytime drama and on "The Young and the Restless," anything is possible.

Mishael Morgan may believe the hype of Hilary Curtis

Whenever contract negotiations are not working out it is almost always in regard to the actor wanting more money. This would seem to indicate that the powers that be are not willing to give Ms.

Morgan what she believes she is worth. Her character Hilary Curtis is fierce and fights to obtain what she wants. She arrived in Genoa City with practically nothing and now co-owns G.C. Buzz, is the host of "The Hilary Hour," and also works with the Hamilton/Winters Group.

It's not a stretch to consider that Ms. Morgan got caught up in the hype of the role she is playing.

She may have believed that her character's popularity should also indicate more money. Be on the lookout for additional spoilers to confirm or deny that Hilary and Devon will not get their happy ending. Keep watching "The Young and the Restless" weekday afternoons on CBS at 12:30 PM EST.
