Spider-Man after 'Avengers 4'

According to AHarbingerOfStuff's post, "Spider-Man: Homecoming 2" takes place after "Avengers 4" as Tony Stark was able to revive Peter Parker and the rest of the heroes killed by Thanos, but paid the ultimate price by sacrificing his life to save the universe Peter grieves heavily on Tony's death and the main plot will feature a new groundbreaking invention from Stark Industries. Peter and his friends Ned Leeds, Liz Allen, Michelle "MJ" Jones, and Eugen "Flash" Thompson are heading out to London for a conference sponsored by Stark Industries.

They will also meet the MCU version of Alistair Smythe and he is described as a technology prodigy who develops a rivalry with Peter.

He tries to upstage Peter and turn his friends against him. His father, Spencer Smythe, works at Stark Industries.

Mysterio in the sequel will be an international thief who uses technology to create illusions. Quintin will steal Stark's new invention in the story. The post mentioned that Marvel Studios planned to include his signature fishbowl helmet, but it will not be featured in the movie.

Jessica Drew is also added to the film as an MI6 agent who is after Mysterio. She has no powers but is an expert martial artist and she begrudgingly teams-up with Spider-Man.

Green Goblin in the MCU?

The leaked plot revealed that Mysterio is hired to steal Stark's latest invention and is said to be a prominent character in the "Spider-Man" Movies.

The employer is also the boss of Mac Gargan in the first "Spider-Man: Homecoming" film, as he tries to convince Adrian Toomes to reveal Spidey's identity.

While the name of the character is never mentioned, Marvel and Sony are discussing their plans for a major actor playing Mysterio's employer. There are also plans that the Sinister Six will be formed in the third "Homecoming" film.

Express UK speculated that Quintin and Mac's boss could be Norman Osborn (a.k.a. the Green Goblin). Norman made his cinematic debut in Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" movie played by Willem Dafoe and had a minor appearance in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" played by Chris Cooper.
