Briana DeJesus is seen talking to her "Teen Mom 2" co-star, Leah Messer, in a sneak peek at the upcoming second half of season eight. Ahead of tonight's highly anticipated premiere episode, DeJesus is seen telling Messer about her closeness with Javi Marroquin, the ex-husband of Kailyn Lowry, and suggesting they were nothing more than friends at the time of the chat.
Before speaking of Marroquin, DeJesus filled Messer in on her baby daddy situation.
"Does [Stella] see her dad?" Messer asked, according to a clip shared by Monsters and Critics on May 7. “No," DeJesus replied. As she explained, Luis Hernandez is a truck driver and spends a lot of time on the road and rarely even checks up on Stella.
Does Briana DeJesus' oldest child see her dad?
"[Devoin Austin] is something else. He recently got arrested and he’s in jail for an outstanding warrant for some drug situation,” DeJesus continued to Messer. DeJesus said that Austin loves to fight with her about keeping Nova but she doesn't let him do so. After all, he isn't stable, nor is he reliable, and when it comes to Nova, he hardly knows anything about her.
While Briana DeJesus and Devoin Austin weren't on good terms at the time the series was shot, they ultimately made amends and actually began living together in February of this year. That said, DeJesus insisted after moving in with Austin that they were not involved in a romantic relationship with one another.
Kailyn Lowry isn't going to be happy about the Briana/Javi romance
“Have you sat down with any of the other girls?” Leah Messer asked.
“No, the only person that I’m actually really close with is Javi," Briana DeJesus replied. "He’s coming down to Orlando.” According to Messer, she had taken note of DeJesus' Twitter interaction with Marroquin and was "so confused" about what was going on between them.
In response to her curious co-star, DeJesus said that Javi Marroquin was heading down to Orlando, Florida to spend time with Lincoln and Isaac at Disney -- and revealed that the boys would be staying with her and her family at the same hotel and resort. "We’re just going to hang out with [our] kids," DeJesus said, adding that she and Marroquin were just friends.
DeJesus then had a change of heart, asking, "Who really knows, you know?" She then admitted that she was a bit concerned about how Kailyn Lowry would handle the news. “I don’t think she’s going to be happy,” Leah Messer warned.
