Jeremy Calvert and his girlfriend, Desiree Kibler, have been making headlines in recent weeks due to a controversial outing last month. As "Teen Mom 2" fans may have heard, Kibler was arrested for DUI not once, but twice, in early April after getting behind the wheel after enjoying a night out with one of her girlfriends, and, after being taken into custody, Jeremy reportedly bailed her out.
Weeks after the incident took place, Calvert defended his girlfriend's honor during an interview with The Ashley's Reality Roundup, explaining that she doesn't do drugs, despite claims that she had prescription pills in her vehicle at the time of her arrest.
Calvert also confirmed that his ex-wife, Leah Messer, wasn't concerned with the arrest and hadn't actually said a thing about it to him.
Did Jeremy Calvert justify his girlfriend's arrest?
“Who doesn’t drink and drive once or twice?" Jeremy Calvert asked The Ashley earlier this week. "Anyone over the age of 21 without an Uber service in their area goes to the bar and drives home.”
After seeing that a "Teen Mom" fan page shared the interview and suggested that Calvert had "justified" her DUIs, Desiree Kibler weighed in on the situation, pointing out that she never attempted to rationalize what she had done. "I never once justified it. I know it was wrong and I’ll never do it again," she tweeted.
"People make mistakes."
Calvert was prompted to defend Kibler after his "Teen Mom 2" co-star, Jenelle Evans, took aim at her online and suggested that Leah Messer should think twice before allowing the daughter she shares with Calvert to ride in a car with Kibler. Right away, Calvert fired back at Evans, who has been arrested numerous times over the years, labeling her a "dumb b***h" and suggesting that she go get a job.
Will Desiree Kibler join the cast of 'Teen Mom 2'?
Speaking to The Ashley's Reality Roundup days ago, Jeremy Calvert responded to questions about his girlfriend's potential future on "Teen Mom 2," claiming that he currently has no plans to expose her to the drama of the show. "I don’t want Desi to be brought into the MTV bulls***," he explained.
To see more of Jenelle Evans, Jeremy Calvert, their families, and their many co-stars, including Briana DeJesus, Jo Rivera, Kailyn Lowry, Javi Marroquin, Corey Simms, Leah Messer, Chelsea Houska, and Cole DeBoer, don't miss new episodes of "Teen Mom 2" season 8B on Monday nights at 9 PM on MTV.
