Jeremy Calvert just went public with his new romance with girlfriend Desiree Kibler on Instagram days ago but already, rumors are swirling in regard to a possible engagement. However, while the majority of "Teen Mom 2" rumors seem to come out of nowhere, this latest report about Calvert and Kibler began due to a tweet straight from Kibler.

"[I] hate leaving Jeremy, makes me appreciate him even more every time I’m with him," Desiree Kibler tweeted on April 22. She then prompted engagement rumors by adding an engagement ring emoji and a "time to start planning" hashtag.

A short time later, fans of the series immediately called her out, suggesting that she included the engagement emoji in an effort to generate online buzz about her romance with the reality star. "You’re just messing with people," one person wrote to Kibler.

What was the meaning behind Desiree Kibler's engagement ring emoji?

Although "Teen Mom 2" fans may have suspected her tweet was all for publicity, Kibler denied the claims, revealing that the emojis she included in her message were things she hoped would happen with her and Jeremy Calvert in the future. "We’re happy and that’s what matters," she explained. Kibler then suggested that it was a possibility that she and Calvert had already moved forward with taking the next step.

"Even if we did, it’s no one's business but our own," she wrote. "We care about each other."

Jeremy Calvert broke off an engagement in early 2017

Early last year, Jeremy Calvert and Brooke Wehr broke off their engagement after spending several years together amid allegations of cheating aimed at Calvert. As fans may have seen at the time, Calvert and Wehr, who began dating in 2015, lashed out against one another on Instagram after their breakup with him labeling her "crazy" and her labeling him as a cheater.

While the couple eventually reconciled weeks later, they ended up calling it quits by summer of last year and months after that, Calvert's ex-wife, Leah Messer, claimed they were still hooking up.

Calvert shares one daughter with Messer, four-year-old Adalynn. The ex-couple was married in April 2012 and welcomed their daughter one year later.

Then, in late 2014, Calvert accused Messer of cheating on him on Twitter and said he was planning to file for divorce.
