"General Hospital" spoilers hint at shocking surprises for May sweeps if Maxie Jones' baby (Kirsten Storms) is the birth promised in this week's soap magazines. Maxie's baby birth promises to trigger a major incident with Dr. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). It seems Dr. O discovers the biological tie between Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and reacts by running off with her grandchild.

Birth in 'GH' May sweeps

The latest "GH" spoilers from Soap Opera Digest for sweeps say that a child is born and that means it's Maxie or Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) that gives birth -- unless "GH" is going to fulfill the adoption dreams of Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) and Brad Cooper (Parry Shen).

It seems more likely to be Maxie's baby, set to coincide with the reveal of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) as Henrik Faison.

All fans know that Dr. Obrecht hates the fact that her beloved Faison was obsessively in love with Anna. But the one thing Liesl always held dear was that she gave him both a son and daughter, even though he didn't know about both. However, once Liesl finds out that Faison and Anna had a child, she'll be infuriated. Dr. O knows Henrik exists, but thought his mom was some random floozy -- not the love of Faison's life!

Remember the Anna mask?

"General Hospital" spoilers remind us that one of the most gut-wrenching moments between Obrecht and Faison was the time he asked her to wear the Anna mask while they made love.

Liesl risked life and limb to get Faison out of a maximum security prison and he repaid her by reminding her that she would never make him feel the way Anna does.

Now that Obrecht lost her beloved son Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), she's distraught. She hates that Faison killed Nathan while Henrik got to live. She'll be even further enraged when she realizes that Anna's son with Faison lied and hers died.

This all ties back into the upcoming birth of Maxie's baby, who is Dr. O's grandchild, and her unstable mentality.

Dr. O snaps over Henrik reveal

"GH" spoilers tease that Obrecht is hit by a one-two punch during May sweeps. She finds out that Anna bore Faison a son and that Henrik is now close to Maxie. To Dr. O, it will seem like Peter/Henrik is poised to steal the life that Nathan should have had.

Maxie and Peter are getting closer by the day and he already cares about his unborn niece or nephew.

When Obrecht finds out Peter is Henrik and way too close to Maxie and her grandchild for comfort, expect Liesl to lose it and possibly steal her grandchild. In her mind, it will be justified because Maxie is close to the traitorous Henrik who is Anna's son. Obrecht will believe that Anna and Henrik are sinking their claws into her grandchild and that she needs to save it.

Just like with Rocco

If this "General Hospital" spoilers plot twist resonates, it's because it's a lot like what happened with Obrecht and little baby Rocco.

If Dr. O thinks that Maxie's kid needs to be rescued from its mom's bad judgment and Henrik, you can bet Liesl will act! She's not above snatching a kid, and her hatred of Anna could fuel a kidnapping plot for May sweeps.
