Things were heating up in the desert over the weekend. The Weeknd (born Abel Tesfaye) and Bella Hadid were spotted getting cozy together at Coachella this past weekend.

Packing on the PDA

According to Entertainment Tonight, the exes were at Poppy’s nightclub pop-up Coachella party on Friday, April 13 and did not seem to mind who saw them packing on the PDA. Multiple sources stated that the two “were sitting on each other's laps and all over each other.” Another source also said that they were “kissing all night.”

Hadid was in attendance with newly single sister Gigi who, according to People magazine, was not flirting with any guys post-split with Zayn Malik.

The source adds that she was "there to support Kendall and Kylie and hang with her sister and their friends.” since the event was also a launch for Kylie Jenner's new makeup collection KOURTXKYLIE, as well as the launch of Pizza Boys Radio on Apple Music’s Beats 1, hosted by Kendall Jenner.

Getting back in touch

It was reported that the two have been in contact since The Weeknd’s split with Selena Gomez back in October, some suspect that their reunion was sparked by Gomez also running back to her ex Justin Bieber.

Prior to dating Gomez, The Weeknd and Hadid had dated for a year and a half, in 2015, before breaking up in November 2016.

It was also reported that Hadid was very upset when The Weeknd began dating Gomez but it most definitely seems like there are no hostile feelings between the two now.

Not back together

But fans of the famous couple should not get too excited just yet, sources say that the two are "not exclusive" despite another source telling People that “they definitely looked like they were fully back together." during the Coachella event.

The Weeknd proved his non-exclusive status later that weekend by also getting cozy with and walking with his arm around model Chantal Jeffries in a closed-off VIP area during Coachella day two. Ironically enough, Jeffries is also the ex-girlfriend of Justin Bieber. So it looks like the Weeknd and Bieber share some of the same taste in women.

Also, during his performance at Coachella on Friday, The Weeknd “visibly broke down in tears” according to Entertainment Tonight, while singing “Call Out My Name” which is speculated to be about Gomez. We can all speculate that The Weeknd appears to not yet be over his most recent ex and may just be on the rebound. Some are even speculating that performing the song during Coachella sparked some old memories for the Weeknd since him and Gomez attended the festival together last year, which was their first public debut as a couple.

Time will only tell what the future holds for Hadid and The Weeknd but we can bet we will be seeing more of the two since old habits seem to die hard.
