“Teen Mom OG” star Kailyn Lowry has never been one to mince words. No one, including Ryan Edwards’ wife, Mackenzie, should think that Kailyn caught people off-guard when she relayed her view about Ryan’s arrest on social media.

Ryan was arrested in Tennessee on March 27, within hours of MTV teasing viewers with a clip of Mackenzie touting the positive results of a pregnancy test. Yes, Mackenzie is pregnant and will give birth to her first child with husband Ryan.

Bad news for the couple

After the news broke and hit fans, Kailyn tweeted that addiction is inherently “unfortunate.” She also tweeted that, in her view, Mackenzie might have exploited the vulnerability in Ryan –due to his addiction – and seized the opportunity to get pregnant.

As a result of marrying him and carrying his child, according to the path of thought that Kailyn considers, Mackenzie garnered a place on “Teen Mom OG,” as well as having become a fixture in his life. The couple will always share parenting, even if their reality star status fades.

Kailyn’s opinion is that Mackenzie “manipulated the situation” involving Ryan and his problems and “got pregnant,” US Weekly reported. Regardless of what happens with MTV or with Ryan, for that matter, the reality star believes that Mackenzie is set – even if the couple eventually separates.

Mackenzie married Ryan, knowing that he has a substance abuse problem.

She was with him, as cameras were rolling, when he slurred words and passed out while driving the vehicle that the couple was riding on while en route to their wedding.

The cameras, inside the vehicle, continued to film until Mackenzie turned off the cameras. She married him just the same. He went to rehab and checked himself out after a short stay.

In November 2017, the couple renewed their wedding vows and will celebrate their anniversary every November – for as long as they remain together.

When fans questioned whether Ryan was using some type of drug recently or returned to rehab, Mackenzie dismissed those possibilities. She claimed that her husband was in a truck driving program.

Now, within a very narrow time frame, MTV not only teased viewers into watching the upcoming episode when it is revealed that Mackenzie is pregnant, the news announces that Ryan has been arrested again and, once more, allegedly had heroin in his possession.

His arrest warrant was a revocation of probation related to the current charge pending against him. He was held in jail on $5,000 bond, which was posted. After bail was posted, Ryan was released.

At the time of writing this article, Maci Bookout had not commented on her social media about Ryan’s arrest. She and Ryan share son Bentley, with strict rules intact for visits. Ryan is not to see Bentley without Ryan’s parents present and supervising.

Maci’s rules for visitation are premised on the problems that Ryan has had in the past – and, evidently may still have based on the current drug possession charge he will face in a legal venue.

As In Touch Weekly reported, “It's no secret that Ryan has a history of substance abuse.” Fans wish him well for the sake of Bentley as well as for the baby his wife is carrying.
