Lydia McLaughlin returned to "The Real Housewives of orange county" for season 12 last year after previously starring in season eight. However, just as she did after season eight, McLaughlin has now revealed that she will not be returning for the show's follow-up season later this year. On February 9, McLaughlin confirmed the news with her fans and followers on her official website.

"['The Real Housewives Of Orange County'] has given me a great platform and I'm grateful for that," McLaughlin wrote in her post, according to a report by E! News. "However, I feel like I can only handle this show one season at a time. I need a break!" According to McLaughlin, there are a lot of good things that come out of the show, including friendships and promotion for her projects, including her new magazine. But, at the same time, the show also brings a lot of negativity into her life. So, after taking a vote amongst her family members, she decided it was best that she part ways with Bravo TV once again.

Why did Lydia McLaughlin leave 'RHOC' the first time?

Following "The Real Housewives of Orange County" season eight, McLaughlin explained to viewers that she wanted to take a break from filming the reality show in order to have another child and write a book. Then, in November 2014, her son Roman Scott McLaughlin arrived, and months later, in April 2015, she released "Beyond Orange County: A Housewives Guide to Faith and Happiness."

Years later, as filming began on season 12, McLaughlin said it was the perfect time for her to return as she and her husband, Doug McLaughlin, had just launched their new magazine, NOBLEMAN Magazine, and adjusted to life with three kids. During season 12, NOBLEMAN Magazine was mentioned a number of times and the ladies participated in a number of events related to the project.

Lydia McLaughlin isn't the only housewife leaving 'RHOC'

Lydia McLaughlin's exit from the show comes just weeks after her co-star Meghan King Edmonds announced that she was not only leaving "The Real Housewives of Orange County," but also leaving Southern California altogether. As she explained to her own fans and followers, she and husband Jim are moving full-time to St. Louis, Missouri, where they look forward to raising their daughter and unborn twins and spending more time with his older children from previous relationships.

Rumors have been swirling in regard to possible replacements for the two ladies but so far, Bravo TV hasn't confirmed any casting news for season 13.
