Miley Cyrus might be back in the United States getting ready to perform at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, but a photo of her in a red bikini from Australia is just now getting some attention. The pop sensation spent the New Year holiday with her fiance, Liam Hemsworth, in Byron Bay and was photographed by paparazzi whenever she was out and about.

Fun in the sun

As TMZ reports, the 25-year-old was showcasing her killer body on the beach in a tiny red bikini during her time Down Under.

While there she was also seen donning a white and black bikini ensemble.

The red bikini top Miley Cyrus is wearing is somewhat sporty while she wore a thong bottom. The tweet below has a photo of Miley walking through the ocean waves and gives a glimpse of just the front part of her swimwear.

Rumors of secret wedding

The entire time Cyrus and Hemsworth were in Australia rumors took off that the pair "secretly" got married. When the two were out to lunch, they both wore rings on their left fingers that started up speculations they had a private wedding ceremony. When Liam's brother, Chris Hemsworth, told Sirius XM that the couple wasn't "officially" married, it automatically made many assume they eloped.

Reports corrected

Prior to that, Australia's NW magazine published a report with a source claiming Cyrus and Hemsworth tied the knot. The dubious source explained that Byron Bay was the perfect place for them to get married because it's where they were first engaged in 2013.

Gossip Cop corrected the report by stating that Miley and Liam didn't get married and that the rings they have on are "promise rings" to each other. The site points out that Cyrus has made it clear she doesn't "envision marriage" anytime soon.

Last year Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were in Byron Bay to ring in the new year and this year was basically a repeat of that. Until the two finally confirm having a wedding ceremony, the rumors won't cease.

A surprise announcement at the Grammy Awards ahead?

TMZ does mention in its report of Miley wearing her red bikini that the rings she and Liam are wearing sure do look like wedding rings. Does this mean they'll have a big surprise for everyone at the Grammy Awards on Sunday? The "Malibu" singer is known for shock value after all.
