The news is out and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have welcomed their third child via surrogate. Kim actually shared the news on her app saying, "Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl." It sounds like everything went great!

Details about the baby girl

Kim Kardashian went on to explain a few details about her little baby girl. She said how grateful they are to their surrogate. She revealed that North and Saint are happy about their baby sister. One thing Kim didn't share just yet was the name of her baby.

This isn't surprising at all because she usually ends up waiting a while to reveal the name of her baby. Kim and Kanye's new little girl was born Jan. 15 at 12:47 a.m. PT. The baby actually weighed 7 lbs., 6 oz. So she was actually born yesterday, but they didn't reveal the news to the fans until today. This gave them a little time to enjoy their new blessing without people obsessing over the baby and trying to get a glimpse.

Why didn't Kim carry the baby?

If you remember, Kim Kardashian had two rough pregnancies with her children North and Saint. She decided that she wanted more children, but the best way to do it would be via surrogate. They were able to find someone to carry the baby for them and make their dreams come true.

If they decide to have more children in the future, they will probably do it the same way.

Kim Kardashian West admits that she doesn't really feel like pregnancy works well with her and that is okay. She seems very happy that she was able to have a baby even though it was in another way. This baby is going to be very close in age to Khloe Kardashian's baby that is on the way now.

This is great news because they can be really close the way that North and Penelope are already. Khloe is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Tristan Thompson.

Kim actually spoke out not long ago saying that she actually feels like surrogacy is almost harder than pregnancy for her. This is a bit crazy considering how difficult her pregnancies were, but she explained the details.

It was very difficult for her to not be in control of the situation. Kim said, "Obviously you pick someone that you completely trust and that you have a good bond and relationship with, but it is still … knowing that I was able to carry my first two babies and not my baby now, it’s hard for me. It’s definitely a harder experience than I anticipated just in the control area.” There have been a few rumors that her sister Kylie Jenner might have been her surrogate, but there has never been any proof to that. Kylie hasn't admitted to being pregnant and the family hasn't talked about it either.

Do you think there is any chance the rumors are true that Kylie Jenner was her surrogate? Sound off in the comments below on your thoughts and make sure that you don't miss the new episodes of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" when they air on Sunday nights on E! each week.
