Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin had a tumultuous relationship that played out on “Teen Mom 2.” The two seemed to be doing really well, but then a devastating event rocked their marriage. Lowry and Marroquin worked together to parent her oldest son, Isaac, and the son they welcomed together, Lincoln. While it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, there were some good moments between the two.

Kailyn's relationship status

Recently, Kailyn Lowry talked about enjoying being single. She is planning to focus on raising her children, the three most important men in her life.

After three failed relationships and one marriage, Lowry wants to focus on getting herself back on track before having to worry about another human being. That is understandable, especially because she is a single mom. Her relationships with her kids' fathers are all over the place. Isaac's dad, Jo Rivera, and Lowry get along really well. Javi Marroquin and Kail fight sometimes, but they are working on that. Her youngest son's father, Chris Lopez, is not really in the picture.

Javi Marroquin recently got out of a relationship with “Teen Mom 2” star Briana DeJesus. The two dated for a few months, but he ended things because she was dead set on getting plastic surgery despite his worries. While it appears the two remain friends, rumors of a reconciliation between Kailyn Lowry and Marroquin have been making the rounds.

It looks like that is likely off the table, but a budding friendship appears to be happening. They are in a much better place than many thought they would be.

Could Javi and Kai reconcile?

As of now, there are no plans to reconcile. Javi Marroquin was a guest on Kailyn's podcast she co-hosts with Lindsie Chrisley. Javi said; “We (Kail and I) won’t get back together.” Lowry's response was good, better than “Teen Mom 2” fans would have guessed.

Kail said; “He’s saying that in case Briana’s listening… I couldn’t have said it better. I don’t think we could get back together… I honestly feel like if we didn’t have this relationship on TV, it wouldn’t have went the way that it did. It played a huge factor in it because other people get involved and I’m not just saying the media and outsiders.

I’m saying friends and money and egos and reputation gets taken a step further. I think that has a lot to do with it too.”

It is encouraging to see Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin getting along. It has been a long time since they were on the same page.
