TMZ shared that they heard he may have hung himself, but they aren't even able to confirm that at this time. Back in August, it was reported that Mark actually slit his wrists and attempted suicide, but he never admitted that this was true.

Mark's trouble with the law
Back in December, Mark Salling plead guilty to a federal offense of possessing child pornography. He actually admitted to having over 25,000 images. He actually faced a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison, but as part of the plea agreement was only going to spend four to seven years in prison. He would then have 20 years of supervised release and registry as a sex offender. Sentencing was set for March 7 and then Mark would have been headed to prison, but it would not have been a life sentence.
He had these pictures on a laptop computer, a hard drive, and a USB flash drive. Mark actually showed them to his girlfriend and then she turned him into the police. He obviously thought he could trust her with this information, but she was not okay with it and went straight to the police instead. After this, he ended up getting in trouble and his entire life was turned upside down.
