A lot of the storyline about her is about her relationship with her ex and baby daddy Ryan Edwards. These two are not getting along well at all right now according to the show, but the fans are wondering if this is really the truth or not.
What storyline are they not buying?
Maci's big thing this season is that she is keeping Ryan and his wife Mackenzie Standifer away from Bentley. They keep talking about this each episode. She isn't happy with him and doesn't want her son around him. Maci Bookout makes it look like this is Ryan's fault totally. They do not get along at all and it doesn't look like they are going to work it out.

A big Reddit post explains all about how the fans are sure that Maci Bookout's storyline this season is a made up one. Fans went through Instagram and found several different posts. They are saying that these posts actually prove that Ryan has seen Bentley since the show is saying that he hasn't seen him.
They have posts from July on that show Bentley seeing his dad and grandparents as well. The post said, "Tomorrow’s episode takes place at the end of October where Ryan supposedly hasn’t seen him since Father’s Day.” That is talking about the episode that will air tonight on MTV. If you pay close attention, then you are not going to want to miss watching to see if you can tell that this storyline is made up.
The fans are going crazy and replying to this on their own thoughts. One person said, "The show also plays fast and loose with timelines. There were several scenes with Cate and Tyler that made it appear it was the same day or same week." They went on to explain that the color of the house went back and forth so you could tell that they were not all filmed on the same day, but some were before the house was painted and some were after.
