Ben Affleck could be facing some very serious health issues that include the possibility of brain damage following a serious motorcycle accident that took place in Los Angeles in December, according to new reports from Radar Online.

The 45-year-old actor has been having a lot of difficulties over the past year following his split from wife and actress Jennifer Garner. Friends close to Affleck have reportedly revealed to RO that they are very concerned about Ben's well-being. It has been no secret that Ben has been very heartbroken and depressed since his failed marriage.

Ben Affleck living too dangerously

Even though Ben has been dating "Saturday Night Live" TV producer Lindsay Shookus, those close to him feel that she is his rebound girlfriend and that his heart still belongs to Jennifer Garner. Friends also feel that Ben's wreckless lifestyle these days could be a cry for help. Since Ben's split, he has been "pushing the limits" in every aspect of his life. Affleck, who is currently undergoing rehab treatment for help with his alcohol addiction, was involved in a horrific crash on his motorcycle on his way to church last month.

The celebrity news site reveals that Ben Affleck struck a curb, and, upon impact, hit his head. Despite wearing a helmet the blow to Ben's head was still very substantial.

At the scene, Ben refused medical treatment and that could prove to be another bad decision. Friends fear that since Ben did not receive medical treatment following the accident some very serious head injuries could have been left undiagnosed and untreated, putting the"Batman" star in danger of suffering from serious consequences.

It is not too late

Some of these serious injuries could include a possible brain bleed that could potentially be fatal if left undiagnosed and untreated. With traits of an addictive personality at every turn in his life, whether it be alcohol, gambling, or dangerous activities, Ben's friends feel that at this rate it is just a matter of time before he completely self-destructs.

Those close to Ben Affleck's situation hope that Ben will listen to their concerns. They are urging him not only for himself but for his children, that he get checked out at the hospital and continue his treatment in rehab to regain control of his life before it is too late.
