Spoiler alerts from Celeb Dirty Laundry suggest a shocking plot coming up in January for "The Young and the Restless." Little Christian Newman will go missing while on an outing with his stepmom Chelsea and everyone will be frantic. Naturally, Victor will have more resources than the GCPD and spoilers suggest that he will be the one to locate his grandson. He will be surprised to find out that the alleged kidnapper is nonother than his supposedly dead son Adam. Once again the buzz is that Michael Muhney is going to reprise the role from which he was fired.
Loyal fans of this beloved character will be eagerly watching to find out if indeed it all pans out as is being suggested.
Michael Muhney has been silent on social media
Celeb Dirty Laundry states that Michael Muhney has been silent on social media since November and suggest this may indicate he is going to reprise the role he was fired from. Ever since Justin Hartley left "The Young and the Restless" in October of 2016, fans have been discussing an Adam return. Numerous spoilers also teased that the character might return to Genoa City.
There have been rumors for more than a year now that Hartley might come back to "Y&R," but he is currently involved in the hit television show "This is Us." In recent months, the notion that Muhney will return had picked up steam.
Spoilers from Soaps She Knows even said that Chelsea was going to see her dead spouse while she was in New Orleans on Thanksgiving, but it never happened.
The next thing being said was that an entirely new actor would take on the role. Now we are back to Michael Muhney again. Mal Young, the new head writer for "The Young and the Restless," has promised surprises, but is keeping mum as to whether or not Adam Newman is one of them.
Fans will have to continue to wait this one out and see what transpires. Muhney's silence on social media may have absolutely nothing to do with returning to his previous role.
Christian's kidnapping may put things in perspective
Christian going missing may be the key to putting all of this into perspective. There has been no evidence that Victor or Nick has enemies who would take the child hostage, so it's logical to believe that his biological father took him.
If Adam is alive, he may be less than pleased that his wife has moved on with his half-brother and this gives him a motive for taking the little boy from her.
The Adam Newman rumors should be put to rest
One way or another, the rumors of Adam's return need to be put to rest. If the character is not coming back to Genoa City, there should be some type of final closure. During this past year Kevin, Chloe, Victor, and Chelsea have all been considered as reasons the second Newman son would come back to town. It's time for "The Young and the Restless" to do right by the fans and put up or shut up, so to speak. Mal Young should produce Nick's half-brother whether he be Muhney, Hartley, or someone entirely different.
If the character is not coming back to Genoa City then loyal fans need to know. Stay tuned each weekday afternoon on CBS at 12:30 PM to find out if spoilers are correct and if any of this comes to pass.
