There is a newcomer on "The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills" this season. Season eight premiered on Bravo this past Tuesday and viewers were introduced to a new housewife, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave.

This season's newbie

At the premiere party for the show, Teddi told E! News that the one thing she wants people to know is that she is "honest." She also said that when she first gets to know someone she won't "throw [herself] in everybody's face" and prefers to "sit back and observe" instead. Once she begins to get comfortable with the ladies, she starts to "come alive."

Even though starring on a reality show can be full of rumors, drama, and catfights, Mellencamp admitted that she believed that although there was "some downside" that the "upside is so much higher."

Last season's new housewife, Dorit Kemsley, was the one to introduce Teddi into the group of women, despite having only just met her during the season premiere herself.

Dorit and her son are seen going over to the Mellencamp's home to attend a group music class with all of their children. The ladies hit it off and Dorit invites her to lunch with Lisa Vanderpump.

A mother, wife, and business owner

Teddi grew up having the famous musician, John Mellencamp, as a father. She was raised on the preppy, wealthy island of Hilton Head in South Carolina. Mellencamp has something in common with her fellow "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star, Lisa Vanderpump and enjoys riding horses and even rode competitively throughout her childhood.

Now Teddi lives with her husband Edwin, whom she admitted to having met during a one-night-stand. Edwin is the founder of Skyline Security Management, Inc.

Mellencamp has two biological children, Slate, five, and Cruz, three, and is a stepmother to Isabella, Edwin's daughter from a previous relationship.

Mellencamp Arroyave started her own company by the name LA Workout Junkie. On her website, she opened up about struggling with her fluctuating weight throughout her life saying that being heavy made her feel "lonely, sad, and angry," while being skinny made her feel "panicked, stressed, and worried" that she would regain the weight, according to Us Weekly.

Next week on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," the ladies are in Las Vegas celebrating multiple birthdays, including Teddi's. Will the trip be a fun girls' getaway or a drama-filled vacation from hell?

The women seem to all be trying to start this season with a clean slate by not bringing up any of the drama that went on last year, but Bravo viewers have come to expect that drama is always just around the corner with this group of ladies.
