Several months after "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Dina Manzo and her boyfriend were robbed at their New Jersey home, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" couple Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have fallen victim to the same fate. Luckily, however, the Umansky family wasn't home at the time the shocking robbery took place.
On December 28, TMZ shared a report with readers in which they confirmed that the $8.2 million home of Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky was robbed on Wednesday evening (Dec. 27) -- just one day before the couple and their daughters left Los Angeles in lieu of a winter getaway in Aspen.
As the outlet explained, the thief or thieves broke into the couple's home through a window and stole a number of expensive items, including more than a million dollars worth of jewelry. TMZ also revealed that $150,000 worth of watches were taken.
According to the report, the watches belonged to Mauricio Umansky. Meanwhile, Kyle Richards' jewelry was in a lock box and it is not yet known whether her jewels were stolen. As for who discovered that the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" couple had been robbed, TMZ said it was their housekeeper who discovered the break-in.
Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky just moved into their new home
As fans have heard Kyle Richards say during recent episodes of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," it took a lot to get her to move out of her former home in Bel Air because she felt that the home was the perfect place for her family.
However, after Mauricio Umansky brought her to their $8.2 million Encino home, she fell in love and quickly made an offer on the stunning pad.
Following the sale, the reality star and her realtor husband moved into the home with their family, including the three daughters they share, Sophia, Alexia, and Portia Umansky, and began making renovations to the home.
Kyle Richards also began sharing images from inside and outside of the home on her social media pages.
Kyle Richards' security system was not on at the time of the robbery
Sources informed TMZ that while the reality star and her husband do have a security system, it was not on at the time the incident occurred. That said, cops were able to find out that the burglary happened just after 1 AM on Wednesday morning after getting details from a closet sensor.
The outlet also said that there are several cameras located on the property, which cops hope will ultimately lead them to their robbery suspect or suspects.
To see more of Kyle Richards, her family, and her co-stars, including Dorit Kemsley, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, Lisa Vanderpump, Erika Girardi, Camille Grammer, and Lisa Rinna, tune in to new episodes of the eighth season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" on Tuesday nights at 9 PM on Bravo TV.
