Lindsay Lohan and Camila Cabello paid tribute to Taylor Swift by singing some of her songs at Jingle Ball at the Madison Garden in New York City on December 8, MTV News reported. It proved that the two singers are still avid fans of Swift despite enjoying their own musical careers.

Jingle Ball is an annual event featuring musical performances in various venues in the United States. It consists of sets lasting almost the entire day. The concert in New York City has always been broadcast on The CW network. There are also other concert legs held in Los Angeles, Anaheim, Boston, and Philadelphia.

Dancing along Swift’s hit

Camila Cabello and Lindsay Lohan both danced to the beat of “Shake It Off,” one of Taylor Swift’s greatest hits. “Shake It Off” came from her fifth album titled “1989” and was released in 2014. Personally written by her, the music had a video that featured the singer as a ballerina.

Videos of the performance at Jingle Ball were posted on social media. After taking center stage, the “Havana” songstress posted the videos of her singing Swift’s song on her Snapchat account. She wrote the caption that read, “I cried.”

Meanwhile, Lohan also shared her performance on her Instagram Story and shared photos with other artists backstage. She wrote as a caption, “Love you @taylorswift.” The video was also posted on Twitter.

She also had a chance to perform right next to Swift.

The “Shake It Off” singer closed the entire show after being introduced by Katie Holmes and daughter Suri Cruise. After the event, she left the vicinity with her boyfriend Joe Alwyn, E! Online reported.

Backstage memories

Camila Cabello also took the opportunity to meet award-winning singer Ed Sheeran backstage in the middle of the event.

They took photos together before watching Taylor perform. Sheeran also performed “End Game” at the Madison Square Garden.

The “Perfect” singer also headlined news wires around the world after receiving high honors from the British monarchy. Sheeran was awarded as a member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire to recognize his contributions in the music industry.

This particular award also recognized his charity efforts.

Prince Charles bestowed the honor on behalf of his mother, Queen Elizabeth. Clarence House, the official residence of Prince Charles, also tweeted about this feat.

However, the balladeer admitted that he made a “prohibited” gesture with the British royal by shaking his hand and holding his arm. He shared about this faux pas in his appearance on “Today.”
