During the Christmas holiday, there are many movies to select from. Some of the old movies return every year even though new movies come out each year. People usually look for a Movie that the whole family can watch together. Since 2000, "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" has been at the top of the list. Even though people have seen the movie and know the story, they still enjoy it as if they were watching it for the very first time.

Theodor Seuss Geisel, known by the pen name, Dr. Seuss is the author of this Christmas classic, published in 1957.
He was the well-known writer of some of the world's best-selling children’s books. Even though he had no children of his own, more than 600 million copies of his children books were sold. The story in the movie "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" follows the original story in the book. It was Dr. Seuss' first book adapted into a 104-minute film.
2. The actor
Actor Jim Carrey does justice to Ron Howard's live-action film based on Dr. Seuss' book. The words are from the book, but Carrey brings the character to life with his acting and humor. Carrey does an excellent job of transforming his evil character into somebody different. Younger viewers understand and love Carrey's humor. Therefore, this Christmas movie is ideal for all members of the family.

Some of the same musical selections that were used in the original 1966 story are included in the updated film. Even though people have heard the songs before, they enjoy hearing them again. Since the songs are so familiar, viewers are apt to sing along with the lyrics.

The movie has a heartwarming ending.
The one who had been rejected by society was happy in the end because of a little girl who was optimistic. The end of the story reveals acceptance. The Grinch experiences the true meaning of Christmas saying that at one time his heart was three sizes too small.
