Jim Carrey was accused of causing his former girlfriend, Cathriona White’s death in 2015. White committed suicide using prescription drugs, which were apparently given to her by Carrey. After her death, White’s mother and estranged husband filed a lawsuit against Carrey. The actor was pictured over the past weekend. In the picture, he seems to have lost a significant amount of weight. According to a report by People, sources have stated that the celebrity has been acting “very strange” lately. He is reportedly saying things like,“there’s no meaning to any of this,” as a response to what he’ll do next.

Back in 2015, White’s mother, Brigid Sweetman, along with her estranged husband, Mark Burton accused Jim Carrey of causing the death. According to them, Carrey gave White three different kinds of tablets, out which, two were meant to treat Herpes and Gonorrhea. As noted by Mirror, the forceful consumption of these drugs is what led White to die. On the other hand, Carrey’s representatives – including his lawyer – have stated that they have proof enough to falsify these accusations. They claim that White had strategically organized this elaborate extortion scheme before she died.
She apparently did this to gain hordes of money from Carrey. To support this elaborate scheme, she even created “fake medical records.” According to the Daily Mail, White’s family are shocked to hear such claims.
