"Roseanne" is reportedly back in works as it also marked the 29th anniversary since its debut on TV in 1998. In a report from E! News, it revealed that original cast members of the series reunited for a table read of the show's first episode revival. Apart from the original cast, reports reveal that new faces are slated to join the revival episodes this season. The first out of its eight episodes will be entitled, "Twenty Years of Life."
The cast reunion also commemorated the first time the series aired on ABC network.
"Roseanne" reportedly ran for nine long years before it ended in 1997, prior to its revival. According to E! News, Cast Members like Roseanne Barr, Sara Gilbert, Sarah Chalke, and John Goodman appeared in the series' past seasons, but are slated to appear in another role in the reboot.

The series director, executive producers, and some of the original cast members were present at the table read. It was revealed that Barr and Gilbert are set to executive produce the revival set which is set for release in 2018.
Laurie Metcalf, one of the original cast members, revealed how they agreed to come up with a revival together.
She added that Goodman talked to Sra Gilbert's show, and that was where everything started. One of the anchors of the show reportedly asked Goodman if he could make it for a reunion, and undoubtedly, he answered, "Of course, I would."
Looking over the scripts
The first table read for the "Roseanne" revival gave cast members a chance to reunite after several years. One of their photos featured the actors laughing together as they gone over the revival scripts.
It seems that the show's production is already planning for a promising debut episode next year. ABC network is staying 'mum' over the show's revival and some of the characters have not been revealed yet. Fans still do not know whether or not Goodman's character will be the family patriarch.
Despite the limited details, reports from Today revealed that "Roseanne" revival is set to premiere on ABC next year.
Meanwhile, Channing Dungey, the ABC Entertainment President, revealed that the series revival will most likely be similar to the original one. However, viewers should expect that it will be more honest, interesting, unflinching, and irreverent at the same time. Apart from Barr and Gilbert, Tom Werner is also set to produce the eight-episode revival of the most iconic sitcom, "Roseanne."
