Delilah, the famous romance radio host, took to Facebook on Saturday where she formally announced that her son Zachariah has died due to suicide. On her post, the host wrote to her millions of fans, “My dear friends, I need to share some devastating news with you. In the early morning hours, Tuesday, October 3, my son Zachariah, took his life."

In a report obtained by People, it was learned that her son was being treated, counseled, and was supported by the entire family while he battled against depression. In the midst of her son's death, Delilah revealed that she felt broken and her heart is beyond repair.

Nevertheless, she believed that her son is already at peace together with the Lord.

Grieving for son's loss

As she announced the death of her son on Facebook, the radio host further revealed that she would be out on the radio and on social media for a while. She continued that she wanted to mourn the loss of Zachariah, her beloved son. She wanted to grieve and to process this tragic loss together with her family.

While she'll be absent from her radio program, Delilah added that she would be playing her past favorite shows for the meantime. She continued that she'll look forward of her return very soon. She also asked her followers to pray for her son and to pray for everyone who suffers from a disease like depression.

Losing two sons

The People reported that Zachariah was not the only son that Delilah has lost. She, unfortunately, lost her other son, Sammy, in 2012 due to sickle-cell anemia.

Perhaps, the radio host is facing the most painful moment of her life right now.

She also wrote a statement following her son's death. She added that everyone who got the chance of meeting her son was blessed with his big heart. For her, Sammy, just like Zacky, was a precious young man. Despite her son's death, Delilah continued to thank God for allowing her to experience the essence of the lives of these young men.

Being her son's "MommaBear," the mother of 13 continued that her life has been forever changed by having her sons in her life. Apart from being a radio host, Delilah is also known for being the icon of "Sappy Love Songs."

Throughout her career, she has granted a number of requests and dedications from her avid radio followers who tune in to her daily syndicated shows. Amidst her short absence from the radio, millions of her listeners look forward to her return on the show in the soonest time possible.
