"One Tree Hill" fans are still reeling from the loss of their favorite show from the streaming network Netflix. The popular streaming network carried the series for several years before announcing that they would be pulling the show from their line up on October 1. Fans immediately began protesting the news reaching out to Netflix to keep their favorite CW drama. It has been more than five years since the beloved CW hit went off the air after a long nine-season run and fans still can not get over it.

"One Tree Hill" revival coming?

For those unfamiliar with "One Tree Hill", the series focussed on the fictional town of Tree Hill in North Carolina and originally follows the dramatic lives of two half-brothers, Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty), who compete for positions on their school's basketball team, their love lives and the secrets and heartaches that follow them, their families and friends through high school, college and into adulthood.

"One Tree Hill" began airing on September 23, 3003 and ended on April 4, 2012. Since then the show has captured thousands upon thousands of new viewers of "Tree Hill" followers.

There are a number of "OTH" fan pages and Facebook social media groups dedicated to keeping the series alive. However, things have been a bit gloomier since Oct. 1.

Is there hope for "One Tree Hill"

But, fans have remained vocal as to what they would love to see happen in the near future with the series. Number one, they would love to see a revival series featuring the original cast. The odds of this, unfortunately, seem very unlikely. The cast members have all moved on past their "Tree Hill" days and for the most part do not appear to want to revisit their teen drama television days, not for a long period of time anyway.

There could be a few answers that would, however, satisfy the "OTH" fans desires through.

There has been rumored talk of a "One Tree Hill" movie reunion. Done right it could ease a lot of the show's fans' unanswered questions.

How Netflix could redeem their mistakes

Netflix could also take this opportunity to capitalize monetarily by moving to bring back the series to it's streaming line up, and, or, move to film an "OTH" movie/mini-series reunion "Gilmore Girls" type special. In 2016 Netflix aired an exclusive "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" mini-series over Thanksgiving weekend that took the streaming network by storm. The series featured a four-part event that reunited the cast, updated fans on their lives today, answering and opening a whole lot of new questions and drama which could lead to more such "Gilmore Girl" productions.

The same could and should according to die-hard fans be done for "One Tree Hill." As stated, there have been rumored whispers, but thus far no confirmation. Until then fans have been forced to either purchase the "OTH" DVD boxed sets and, or find other ways to view the series. So the big question remains, would you like to see Netflix one, bring back the series in its entirety for streaming, and two love to see them make a reunion/revival mini-series and the rest of the "Tree Hill residents, or leave it to rest?
