Mychael Knight, the "project runway" finalist, was found dead at 7:25 in the morning at Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday. Knight was 39-year old. He was known as a famous Fashion Designer, where he placed fourth during "Project Runway" season 3. He reportedly won the "Fan Favorite Award" and began to launch his own clothing line in 2007. According to a report from Entertainment Tonight, his family and friends were saddened by his untimely death.

A statement released by his family said, "We are still processing the untimely death of our son, brother, friend, and uncle. Mychael meant everything to us and we loved him dearly." Knight was a generous man and his family will love to remember him in such a legacy.

A famous designer

While Knight pursued his career in fashion designing, the "Project Runway" alum didn't only launch his own clothing line, but he also did designs for companies like Starbucks. He became known for his first male and female lingerie, and his unisex fragrance, the MajK, back in 2008.

Another report from E! News revealed that the young fashion designer suffered from intestinal issues.

He was rushed to a hospital where he received treatments for his illness. While it's still not clear what really caused his death, some reports claimed that the fashion designer suffered from irritable bowel syndrome for the past five years.

Immune system problems

Back in July, Knight shared his health scare to his social media followers. He was caught telling his fans that for five years, he had been suffering from an illness called IBS. He also revealed that his condition had taken a toll on his health, and later on, he found out it affected his immune system a lot.

According to a report from TMZ, Irritable Bowel Syndrom is a disorder which affects the body from absorbing the nutrients from the foods being eaten.

Knight reportedly had a leaky gut, which became the reason for his health scare to get worse. He added that IBS had caused him to have an autoimmune disease, and he made it clear that his body was not in good shape.

Following reports of his passing, some of the notable personalities in the fashion industry were shocked over the news. "Project Runway" judges, Heidi Klum, Michael Kors, and Nina Garcia were among those people who were impressed with his designs.

Despite his death, Knight will always be remembered by his legacy in the fashion industry. To his family, friends, and colleagues, Knight will always be that sweet, full of life kind of guy.
