Why is the show on Hulu?

Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb told Screenrant during New York Comic-Con that the reason they chose Hulu to stream the show because they have been trying to develop and present a project to them and extend the reach of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"What we do with every show is we look at where the best place is. We absolutely had a lot on our plate at Netflix, but wasn't the reason for it," Loeb said. We were excited about the possibility of joining a network that was young and growing in the same way that when we went to Netflix it was young and growing on the original side."

The MCU had a lot of TV series focusing on the lesser known characters such as "Agents of SHIELD," The Defenders," The Punisher, " "Cloak and Dagger," and "Inhumans." Comic book fans are also clamoring to the idea that the TV shows will somehow to interact or crossover with the movies.

However, president Kevin Feige stated the crossover will depend on the schedules and planning of both medias. The "Runaways" will premiere on Nov. 21 on Hulu.
