People are undoubtedly looking forward to the wedding of Kit Harington and Rose Leslie. The two "Game of Thrones" actors are expected to tie the knot soon, giving fans their preferred conclusion to Jon Snow's romance with Ygritte. However, Harington almost messed up and doomed the engagement with a savage prank on his fiancée.
Every couple experiences disagreements and troubles but Kit Harington and Rose Leslie happen to be a celebrated pair from the HBO series. Naturally, their little mishap brought on by an epic April Fools' joke had a special "Game of Thrones" theme.
Paying tribute to Ned Stark
Kit Harington was recently a guest on "The Jonathan Ross Show" where he revealed that he had played an April Fools' joke on Rose Leslie. As proof, the "Game of Thrones" Season 8 actor presented a video that showed his fiancée's reaction to the prank.

So what did Rose Leslie see in the refrigerator? It turns out that Kit Harington had left a fake decapitated head of Jon Snow for his girlfriend to find. Fans believe that Harington was playing a prank and paying tribute to his character's adoptive father Ned Stark.
In "Game of Thrones," Ned was sentenced to die by decapitation by Joffrey Baratheon.
Unfortunately, the joke was lost on Rose Leslie. The actress reportedly threatened to break off her engagement to Kit Harington because the prank terrified her so much.
The prank ultimatum
Harington told Jonathan Ross that playing April Fools' jokes are a tradition in his family.
Unfortunately, it isn't with Leslie's family and the "Pompeii" actor will need to cease playing more pranks if he wants to marry his girlfriend. Harington confessed that Leslie warned him that she wouldn't go through with the wedding if he continues pranking her.
Luckily, it looks like Kit Harington has agreed to stop joking around with Rose Leslie, at least for now.
The wedding date has already been set and the event is grand enough to put a halt on the "Game of Thrones" Season 8 production. Harington has managed to convince the show producers D.B. Weiss and David Benioff to give the cast and crew a break so they can join the couple on their special day.
Harington and Leslie's wedding date has not been revealed to the public. In the meantime, "Game of Thrones" Season 8 will begin production this week. Although Leslie is no longer a part of the series, Harington is set to return as Jon Snow in the HBO show's final season.
