The latest updates and spoilers for the live-action "Justice League" movie reveal a possible battle between the Olympian God of Thunder Zeus and the film's main antagonist, Steppenwolf. Warner Bros. Pictures streamed a new promo trailer that featured the ancient war between Earth and Apokolips.
Cast member Gal Gadot talked about the change to Wonder Woman's perspective on humanity and how the events of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" influenced her decision to save the world.
The ancient Earth/Apokolips war
The new promo trailer featured a glimpse of the ancient war between Earth and Apokolips as the Amazons, Atlanteans, and humans band together to stop the threat of Darkseid.
Steppenwolf leads the paradaemons as he squares off against a man who can summon lighting from his hands.
Comic book fans speculated that the lightning man could be Zeus, king of Olympus, and Wonder Woman's biological father. This could also mean that the Greek Gods have joined the fight to save Earth from the forces of Apokolips before they were betrayed by Aries.
Steppenwolf will lead another campaign on Earth as they search for the three Mother Boxes that were left on the planet after the first war. Two boxes are found on Atlantis and Themyscira, while the last one was used by Silas Stone to save his son, Victor, and it transformed him into a cyborg.
New details on Diana Prince
Gal Gadot revealed the new changes for her character, Wonder Woman in the "Justice League" movie as she explained during the promotional tour in Beijing that the events of "Batman V Superman" renewed her will to save humanity from evil.
"We realized actually, that there is no way that Wonder Woman will ever give up on mankind. the reason why she left the island was because she wanted to make their life better and safer -- they are her calling," Gadot said. "So -- I'm giving you a very honest answer -- sometimes, in a creative process, you establish something that is not necessarily the right decision, but then you can always correct it and change it."
Gadot told DC All Access (via Imgur) that Wonder Woman is essentially the "glue" of the team and she cares for the well-being of her teammates regardless of her Amazon warrior spirit.
Diana will join Batman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg to fight Steppenwolf and attempt to save the world.
Superman will return to help the team and there is a speculation that two members of the Green Lantern Corps. will appear in the movie.
