The latest updates and spoilers for the "Justice League" live-action movie reveal the possible death of Cyborg's father, Silas Stone. Silas helped revive Victor by using the Mother Box and transformed his son into a cybernetic metahuman. However, Victor does not like his new lease on life and resents his father during the course of the film. There are new details about the familial relationship between Steppenwolf and Darkseid, and how Ciaran Hinds' character wants to step out of the shadow of the lord of Apokolips.
Cyborg's promo
Warner Bros. streamed Cyborg's character promo for "Justice League" as cast member Ray Fisher explained Victor's origin story, powers, and his true calling as a hero.
Cyborg has the ability to connect with any type of technology on Earth, enabling him to hack computer systems and hijack vehicles. He can transform any part of his body into a weapon such as sonic cannons, missiles, and pulse lasers.
The promo also revealed a small spoiler from the movie at the 1:00 mark of the Cyborg promo, revealing that Victor is fighting Steppenwolf in S.T.AR. Labs while the villain is holding Silas and his staff hostage. The scene indicates that Steppenwolf will kill Silas, thus motivating Cyborg to stop the forces of the Apokolips and accept his new role as a hero.
Cyborg will be joined by Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Superman as they attempt to save the world.
Steppenwolf/Darkseid factor
It seems that Darkseid and Steppenwolf's relationship in the movie will follow their comic book counterparts as Hollywood Magazine revealed that the film's main villain is, in fact, Darkseid's uncle. Ciaran Hinds told the magazine that his character is tired and desperately wants to come out from his nephew's servitude.
Steppenwolf is in charge of leading the Paradaemons as they search and gather the three Mother Boxes on Earth, and bring the rest of Darkseid's army for a world-wide invasion. The two Mother Boxes are found in Atlantis and Themyscira, while the last one is used to create Victor's body.
Lex Luthor will return to the movie and he will help Steppenwolf conquer the planet.
However, Luthor's scene will be cut from the movie's theatrical release, and it was speculated that he will hire Deathstroke to kill Batman in the early portion of the story.
The sequel is also rumored to have two members of the Green Lantern Corp. and two post-credit scenes. "Justice League" will premiere on Nov. 17.
