Justin Bieber is surrounding himself with the right people to help him achieve his goal to become a sustainable person. And one of the people he is thankful for is his friend and church leader, Josh Mehl, whom he said has helped him during the transformation.

Hence, the pop singer dedicated a heartfelt message in order to express his gratitude to the church leader for guiding and inspiring him. "I’m a better man because of you. I’m a better friend because of you," he wrote. "You have been a true example of what Following Jesus looks like, and I’m so grateful I get to walk through this life knowing you!"

Josh Mehl, on the other hand, responded to his post and thanked the singer-songwriter for his compassion, generosity, and for living a Christ-like life.

"You have taught me more than you will ever know," the church leader captioned. "You love like Jesus. Blessed to know you. We in this for life!"

JB takes new leap of faith

The 23-year-old artist has been vocal about his desire to focus on his faith and to protect his calling after he was baptized by Pentecostal Pastor Carl Lentz of Hillsong Church in 2014. In fact, Justin Bieber provided the same reason after cutting his "Purpose" world tour short in July.

In a lengthy statement to address the cancellation, the "Despacito" singer thanked those who have stuck with him all these years. Justin Bieber said his fans have made it possible for him to keep going and to learn and grow as an artist.

He also recounted how he used to live in darkness and bitterness until he found the people who have been helping him build his character back up and who would remind him of his dream and purpose.

The pop singer acknowledged that he is far from perfect, but reassured that he will never be ashamed of his flaws and imperfections.

'Purpose' tour cancellation

Justin Bieber was supposed to bring "Purpose" world tour to 11 more cities to wrap up his third worldwide tour that kicked off in March 2016. Since the cancellation, the singer-songwriter has stepped aside from the limelight and has been living a low-key life.

He is often spotted attending church services at a Beverly Hills church. A couple of weeks ago, the singer was accompanied by his rumored girlfriend, Paola Paulin, when he showed up at the local church. Neither of them has confirmed nor denied the dating rumors.

The "Cold Water" singer is also using his time off to spend some time with his friends. He was recently spotted enjoying pool time with friends in Mexico.
