The Halloween season has started and that means spooky parties are happening all around. While some A-list celebrities decided to go low key with their costumes, others simply could not resist showing off some spectacle.

Some of the celebrities who showcased the best Halloween costumes this year included Kim Kardashian, channing tatum, Heidi Klum, and Rita Ora. Fashion websites Vogue and InStyle were on the scene to capture the best dressed. Parties were held over the weekend and more events are expected to feature celebrities in their Halloween get-ups.

Socialite and reality TV star Kim Kardashian once again channeled Cher with the hairstyle. She paired this look with a belly dancer-inspired costume that showed off her waist. She was photographed beside her friend Jonathan Cheban who also sported a 1970s-style costume.

Heidi Klum in disguise

Fashion model Heidi Klum has once again proven that she is unbeatable as one of the best-dressed icons during Halloween season. Aside from hosting her own party at Moxy Times Square, she channeled a scary old lady this year complete with prosthetic makeup and cane. The party happened at the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar and Lounge.

Meanwhile, pop singer Rita Ora chose to remain poised and glamorous without veering away from the Halloween vibe.

She dressed up like Poison Ivy, one of the villains of "Batman." She attended the Kiss House Party Live in London on October 26.

Seth MacFarlane took inspiration from “The Empire Strikes Back” and dressed up as a Wampa. On the other hand, Joan Smalls dressed as Minnie Mouse during the All Hallow’s Eve benefit event hosted by Met.

Poppy Delevingne showcased a Flintstones-inspired costume complete with animal skin skirt and boots. She added dirt makeup all over her body.

Jason Derulo's attire

Jason Derulo's outfit is another very remarkable celebrity outfit so far.

The singer completely transformed himself as the Night King from the hit television series “Game of Thrones.”

Moreover, the duo of Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa also decided to take inspiration from the hit series as they dressed up as Jaime Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen. These are two of the most notable characters from the show.

Lauren Conrad picked another Disney character and styled herself like Cruella de Vil. Her costume was a toned down version of the villain's attire. She chose to wear red gloves, a white fur coat, and a black dress with a plunging neckline. Her black and white dyed hair was combed down.

Meanwhile, “Kingsman” star, Channing Tatum, sported a purple unicorn costume. Unlike his fellow celebrities, he decided to choose an adorable outfit instead of a spooky one.
