This season of "Grey's Anatomy" is likely to bring back Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) into parenting, says TVLine's Ausiello. While this could be an indication that Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) will make a cameo or perhaps her name will be mentioned, fans at eager to know whether Shonda Rhimes's plan to keep Callie "alive" suggests she will return someday. But Ausiello is not putting our hopes only to be let down on the topic of Callie, however, Arizona plans to take care of their child.
Two things are confirmed in the new season of "Grey's Anatomy" and that's Christina Yang (Sandra Oh) NOT returning this season.
Second is that Arizona Robbins is doing some mommy duties during the course of the season. Ausiello responds to an inquiry about whether Callie Torres will return to Seattle, "I'm very much keeping alive the idea that Arizona is Sofia’s mother, too, and we are getting back to her parenting in certain ways this season.”

In case you forgot, Arizona and Callie had a nasty custody battle of their daughter, Sophia. While Callie is her biological mother, their daughter had to stay after Arizona eventually won and received custody of their daughter. Callie then decided to join her girlfriend Penny in New York and that's when Arizona felt she should share Sophia and made plans to bring her to Callie for a short vacation.
The new season of "Grey's Anatomy" happens to feature Arizona with a new love interest. Despite that Eliza Minnick (Marika Dominczyk) bailed on her, she's moving on after their whirlwind romance in season 13. But now, the pediatric surgeon is again entangled in a new love story that is made even more complicated by the fact that she hooked up with a colleague's sister.

Carina DeLuca (Stefania Spampinato) is the sister of Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti). The siblings have less than a good relationship because Andrew is not comfortable with Carina's topic of research at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Andrew and Arizona are also flatmates, meaning there will be more arguments, confusion, and awkward moments between the trio.
Meanwhile, the next episode of "Grey's Anatomy" will feature the surprising discovery of Amelia Shepherd's (Caterina Scorsone) brain tumor and how her husband Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) will step up to support his wife. Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington) and Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) are also heading to a good start but that's now when her husband still hasn't shown up.
