Natalee Holloway's dad has been working hard on trying to find his daughter ever since she disappeared. He even did a new series about the investigation and trying to find her body. Skeletal Remains were found in Aruba and it gave the family hope that they might finally get some closure. Now, Today is sharing that these skeletal remains do not belong to Natalee.
Details of Natalee's disappearance
Natalee actually disappeared back in 2005 after going on her senior trip to Aruba. On their last night there, she never came back to the hotel. She was last seen by some of her friends in a car and they just assumed she was getting a ride back to the hotel.
There has been a lot of speculation that a man she was seen with named Joran Van Der Sloot might have something to do with her disappearance.
Right now, Joran van Der Sloot is in prison, but not for Natalee Holloway. He was actually committed of another murder in Peru for killing Stephany Flores, who died on the fifth anniversary of Holloway's disappearance in 2010. Joran has given Natalee's family the run around for years by telling them one thing and then changing his story to something else. The family has never been able to get closure or find out what really happened to their daughter.
The remains that were found
During their investigation, remains were found in Aruba that Natalee's dad thought could belong to her.
Forensic scientist Jason Kolowski helped with the investigation on the show "The Disappearance of Natalee Holloway," that aired in August. He shared that the remains found were not Natalee's and only one of the bones they found belonged to a human. They tried to see if the bone was a match to Natalee's mom and it wasn't so that ruled her out.
As of right now, they don't know anything about the human remains that were found. They do not know if they belong to a male or female or even how long the person has been dead. At this time, it doesn't look like these remains are giving anyone any answers. Hopefully, another family will be able to get closure because of this find.
Natalee Holloway's family has made it clear that they will never stop looking for her and trying to get answers. This is just one more roadblock for them, but hopefully, they will get Joran or someone else to tell them what really happened.
