"Dancing With The Stars" is reportedly threatening to fire professional dancer, Maksim Chmerkovskiy if he doesn't return to the show to fulfill his duties as Vanessa Lachey's dance partner. Maks, who was very noticeably absent from the ballroom during Monday night's show, is said to be struggling in his partnership with Vanessa, as the two continue to butt heads. Maks skipped out on the show this week for "personal reasons," but "DWTS" insiders are revealing the reason was really due to the fact that he can't stand his dance partner.
Will Maks soon be out of a job?
According to the latest "Dancing With The Stars" drama, the ABC reality competition series is now threatening to fire Maks, who is one of the shows most popular professional dancers. One source revealed that if Maksim Chmerkovskiy doesn't return next week to dance with Vanessa Lachey then he will be fired from the show and another dancer will take his place as Vanessa's partner. However, things have allegedly gotten so bad between Lachey and Chmerkovskiy that Maks may be okay with not returning to "DWTS" this season.
Vanessa Lachey's 'diva' behavior revealed
As previously reported, Maks and Vanessa have allegedly been fighting over control. Lachey reportedly like to call the shots and has been trying to choreograph her own dances, choose her own wardrobe, and even pick the songs for her performances.
Of course, "Dancing With The Stars" fans know that Chmerkovskiy is also very dominant in his personality, and the couple can't seem to agree on much. Insiders claim that Maks was pushed to his limit and refused to dance with Vanessa on Monday, and Lachey earned her lowest scores of the season without her original partner by her side.
Nick Lachey and Peta Murgatroyd's partnership strained over the drama?
Vanessa Lachey's "diva" like behavior has been reportedly making others behind the scenes angry as well, and it leaves her husband and fellow "Dancing With The Stars" contestant, Nick Lachey, in a very awkward position. Nick is currently partnered with Maks' wife, Peta Murgatroyd, and it seems their partnership could be strained over their spouses' drama.
One thing is for sure, if and when Maksim Chmerkovskiy does return to "DWTS" fans will be watching he and Vanessa Lachey for any signs of tension.
