There was no elimination on "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday, October 2. However, the 11 remaining contestants shared what their Guilty Pleasures are. Then they performed dances inspired by those desires. This was the first time the ABC popular dance competition show used that theme this season.
Stars' guilty pleasures
Drew Scott and Emma Slater danced the Argentine Tango after Drew shared he likes watching true crime shows.
The Property Brother and his partner solved a crime during their performance. The judges gave them a score of 23. Derek Fisher and Sharna Burgess performed a Cha-Cha after Derek said he likes to watch marathons of reruns of "The French Prince of Bel-Air." The judges weren't that impressed with their dancing and gave the pair a score of 21. Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy performed a Quickstep to show that Victoria is no longer being bullied like she was in high school. The judges gave them a score of 22.
Alan Bersten and Debbie Gibson were eliminated last week, but Alan was back to fill in for Maks Chmerkovskiy to dance with Vanessa Lachey who enjoys spending time with her girlfriends.
The troupe danced along with Vanessa, and head judge Len Goodman said he couldn't tell Vanessa from the professionals. For their Quickstep, the judges gave them a score of 23. They lost points because judge Carrie Ann said some of Vanessa's lifts weren't graceful.
Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev performed a Viennese Waltz because of Nikki's pleasure of reading romance novels especially "Fifty Shades of Grey." Nikki’s fiancé, John Cena, was in the audience, and host Tom Bergeron invited him on the ballroom floor as the scores were given. The dancers received 21 even though Cena said the dance was spicy. Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson danced the Samba. Frankie got to live out his true dream of being in a boy band.
They received a score of 21.
More dancing
Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas danced a Jive in their pajamas because Lindsey says she enjoys staying in her pajamas during the day. The judges gave them 27. That was the highest score of the night. Sasha Pieterse and Gleb Savchenko performed a Jazz. Sasha said her guilty pleasure is baking, but the judges didn't think they did a great performance. Their score ended up to be only 19. That was the lowest score of the night.
Nick Lachey's score is not improving very much. His guilty pleasure is romantic comedies. He and Peta Murgatroyd danced a Jazz and received 21 from the judges. Nick's wife, Vanessa, is doing much better than he is. Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke danced a Salsa.
Terrell's guilty pleasure is breakdancing. Cheryl has warned Terrell that he has to do better to stay in the competition. They did get 21 out of 30, which was their highest score of the season.
Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold danced what was meant to be the Charleston inspired by Jordan's love of comic books. Len said he saw a Lindy Hop and Quickstep, but he saw very little or no Charleston. They ended up with a score of 25. Their score still keeps them close to the top of the leaderboard.
