Batman News released a September 5 report saying that the female Amazon warriors that viewers first saw from “Wonder Woman” will be back in the upcoming “Justice League” film. Two months before the worldwide release date of the DC film franchise, there are still scenes that are being shot for the last phases of production.
Madeleine Vall Beijner, the actress who portrayed one of the female warriors in “Wonder Woman” posted a photo on Instagram giving clues that she is part of the “Justice League” re-filming. The reshoots were spearheaded by post-production director, Joss Whedon.
“In less than three weeks, I will be reunited with these badass Amazon warriors again,” she captioned. She also noted that the reshoots would be done in Italy, the same location as in the previous movie that featured the fictitious setting in Themiscyra.
The photo showed Vall Beijner with two other actresses, wearing their warrior costumes. It has been said that the DC movie is a direct sequel to “Wonder Woman” and follows the storyline from “Batman v Superman.”
Since Gal Gadot’s character has been introduced, various plots came out from the DC-inspired franchise. Director Whedon has signed up for the “Justice League” movie after Zack Snyder passed on the duties to him since he needed to spend time with his family.
Aquaman in Italy
The character of Aquaman will also be headlining the “Justice League” movie. Actor Jason Momoa is slated to play the role.
Batman News reported that Aquaman is also scheduled for filming in Italy, alongside the additional scenes with the Amazon warriors. Last month, director Snyder shared new images of Momoa as Aquaman through the online platform Reddit.
The director said that these photos were taken during some of the final shots of the actor in Iceland, a country in Europe.
Reshoots
Since Whedon took over the directorial duties, there have been several changes made for the “Justice League” movie. He has previously directed “Avengers,” which belonged to the Marvel Universe.
These changes include rewriting some parts of the script and allegedly removing some famous villains from the scenes.
Among these villains that were rumored to be excluded from the storyline are Lex Luthor, Deathstroke, and Darkseid, We Got This Covered said.
“Justice League” will be shown worldwide in November 2017. It will feature the return of actors Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. There will also be new actors to debut such as Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
