"This Is Us" creator Dan Fogelman has described Season 2 premiere of his NBC hit show as being "very heavy." Fans don't know what that means because Season 1 was heavy, and they didn't think the series could get any heavier. According to Fogelman, Season 2 will go down in the record books for being not just heavy, but it will be very heavy.

The triplets

People are looking forward to the return of the show about the Pearsons and the life they have carved out for themselves. While there are family issues with the parents and the triplets, there will be some individual issues each character will have to deal this on their own.

Viewers will get involved in each of their lives and try to figure out how the issues will be resolved. However, Fogelman warns people that when they think they have the answer, don't be surprised when the twists come.

Without giving away much information, fans will be very surprised when Randall, played by Emmy winner Sterling K. Brown, convinces his wife Beth, played by Susan Kelechi Watson, to agree to an adoption. This is not going to end the way people might think. In the words of Fogelman, "It is going to be very heavy."

Kate, played by Chrissy Metz, is going to bring forth some heavy-duty acting that will include something that has been ripped from her own personal life. This will delight viewers very much.

If you loved Metz in Season 1, you will fall in love with her all over again in Season 2.

Kevin, played by Justin Hartley will impress viewers when he makes a very big decision after getting fatherly advice from Sylvester Stallone who makes a cameo appearance. It will be a very brief appearance, but it will be one that will make a great impact on Kevin.

The parents

The parents, Jack and Rebecca, played by Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore, will provide something that Fogelman describes as "very heavy." You have to see this to believe it because words can't describe what will happen in their lives.

The creator also promises that the answer about Jack's death will be revealed. A big clue will be given in the premiere.

Fogelman warns that the big clue will raise even more questions about Jack Pearson's death.

Randall's biological father, William, died in an emotional episode in Season 1, but Ron Cephas Jones tells viewers that he didn't lose his job, and they will see him just as much through flashbacks in Season 2.

Watch the premiere of Season 2 of "This Is Us" on NBC on Tuesday, September 26 at 9 p.m. so you won't be sorry on Wednesday.
